Old Northside Bed & Breakfast

Built in 1885 by Herman C. DeWenter, a German immigrant who became a prominent Indiana Industrialist, this unique brick residence is considered the prime example of Romanesque Revival architecture in the city. The mansion has been renovated in an elegant European turn-of-the-century motif to retain its warm ambiance with the original maple slat flooring and incomparable hand-carved cherry and mahogany woodwork. The present owner has also imported European craftsmen and artists to restore the parlor's sculptured ceiling and hand painted murals on the walls and ceilings.

The Old Northside Bed & Breakfast is located on the periphery of downtown Indianapolis in the Historic Old Northside. The inn is within walking distance or a short drive to The President Benjamin Harrison Home, Morris Butler House, Monument Circle, Circle Centre, RCA Dome, Indiana Convention Center, and the Conseco Fieldhouse.
